  • 1/2 of a normal size onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c Bisquick mix
  • 3/4 c yellow cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 c white cheddar cheese
  • 3 T melted unsalted butter
  • 1/2 t garlic salt
  • 1/4 c parsley, chopped
  • 1 T vegetable oil (aprx)

Preheat oven to 400. Butter a cake pan. Mix the yellow and white cheeses together and set aside. In a skillet over medium heat saute onion and garlic in the vegetable oil until the onions are soft. Remove from heat. Put the Bisquick mix in a large mixing bowl. Whisk the milk and egg together and add to the Bisquick Mix. Add the sautéed onions and garlic along with 3/4 cup of  the blended cheeses. Stir until the dry ingredients are moistened. Spread the mixture into the cake pan. Into the melted unsalted butter add the garlic salt and stir until it is well mixed. Drizzle the melted butter and garlic salt over the mixture in the cake pan. Top with Parsley and bake for 15 minutes. At the end of that cooking period take the pan out and top with the remaining 3/4 cup of blended cheeses. Bake for another 7 minutes.
