- 1 pound Brussels Sprouts, rinsed, trimmed, halved lengthwise
- 3 Tb unsalted butter (Paleo followers omit this ingredient and dry roast the nuts instead of sauteing them)
- 3 tsp grated orange zest
- 1/2 cup roughly chopped nuts (I prefer walnuts, but any nut will work, try hazel nuts, pine nuts, pecans, almonds or sunflower seeds. Every nut and seed brings a different flavor to this dish, experiment and enjoy.)

- cracked black pepper
Steam brussels sprouts until soft, but not mushy, approximately 20 minutes. In a 10″ skillet melt butter over medium heat, add nuts and saute until they become fragrant. Add orange zest and brussels sprouts, stir well and cook for about 5 additional minutes until the brussels sprouts are hot. Salt and pepper to taste and serve. Enjoy!
