Brown Sugar and Horseradish Mustard Salad Dressing

13 Apr

This is a wonderful dressing for a tossed salad. By that I mean nice dark leafy greens like spinach, kale or romaine lettuce, none of that iceberg stuff that has no taste or anything of substance to bring you energy. I like a nice tossed salad with spinach leaves, carrots, tomatoes, celery, avocados, green, red, and yellow bell peppers. Add some croutons, this salad dressing and I am set for lunch.

  • 1/2 cup Horseradish Mustard
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 Tb Karo Syrup
  • pinch of Cayenne Pepper

In a small bowl mix all ingredients until well blended, chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Drizzle a small amount over your salad, toss and enjoy.

Suggestions: Try adding shelled sunflower seeds and dried cranberries to this salad for wonderful additions of taste and texture.
