Garlic Buttered Steamed Broccoli

We love broccoli and eat steamed broccoli often. Adding a simple Garlic Butter sauce over the steamed broccoli makes it a delight from the normal.

Ingredients:

  • a few heads of broccoli, (whatever you prepare for your family)
  • 4 Tb salted butter
  • 1 Tb Olive Oil
  • 2 to 4 cloves garlic, minced (we love garlic)
  • Shredded Parmesan Cheese, garnish

Steam you broccoli to your desired softness. While the broccoli is steaming, in a small sauce pan over medium low heat melt the butter into the Olive Oil. As soon as the butter is completely melted add the minced garlic, remove the pan from heat, cover and let sit until the broccoli has finished. Slice the broccoli heads in half, place on a plate and drizzle the garlic butter mixture over each piece of broccoli. Sprinkle with shredded Parmesan Cheese and serve.
